Toilet Cleaning Instructions

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids.

You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse".

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Sincerely,
The Dog

Beach Time

We spent the 4th of July week end at the beach. We went to Destin, Florida. The beaches are nice there and not crowded. The water is a magestic blue and the sand a beautiful white.

Here are a couple of pictures for your enjoyment....

Not Pretty

Below is an article about a possible explanation to Zidane's behavior on the field on Sunday. This does not excuse his behavior but explains it a bit.
The main reason why I am posting this is because I think that it is wonderful that standards are still set in place for certain sports and that players are held to those standards because of all the children watching them. I read the following on another article :
The French sports daily L'Equipe wrote: "This morning, Zinedine, what do we tell our children, and all those for whom you were the living role model for all times?" Its front-page headline: "Eternal Regrets."
I think that it is wonderful that players are held to a higher standards. You see so much violence on the field in football or hockey. You read about scandals in baseball or basketball. In the end those players get a smack on the hand and are told to never do it again. I do hope that they will hold the standards with Zidane and let it serve as an example to the rest of the sport world.
On a personal note, I think that he is an amazing player and if someone had called me a terrorist I might have head butted him too....... :-)
Marco Materazzi admits he insulted Zinedine Zidane before the France captain head-butted him in the World Cup final. Materazzi denies calling him a "terrorist."

"I did insult him, it's true," Materazzi said in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport. "But I categorically did not call him a terrorist. I'm not cultured and I don't even know what an Islamic terrorist is."
Zidane and Materazzi exchanged words after Italy broke up a French attack in extra-time of Sunday's final in Berlin. Seconds later, Zidane lowered his head and rammed Materazzi in the chest, knocking him to the ground.
Zidane was sent off, reducing France to 10 men. Italy won the game in a penalty shootout.
"I held his shirt for a few seconds only, then he turned round and spoke to me, sneering," the Italian defender said. "He looked me up and down, arrogantly and said: 'If you really want my shirt, I'll give it to you afterwards."'
The 32-year-old Inter Milan player did not elaborate exactly on what he said to Zidane.
"It was one of those insults you're told tens of times and that always fly around the pitch," he said.
Media reports, based on interpretations by lip-readers, have suggested that Materazzi called Zidane a terrorist or insulted his mother or sister. Materazzi denies these claims, too.
"For me, the mother is sacred, you know that," Materazzi told the newspaper.

Materazzi is no stranger to controversy. He was suspended for two months for punching Siena defender Bruno Cirillo after a Serie A game in February 2004, and earned condemnation following a brutal tackle on Sweden and Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in October 2005.
Materazzi was also sent off three times while playing for Everton in the 1998-99 season.
One Italian senator even suggested that Materazzi didn't merit selection for the Italian team because of his physical style.
Zidane also is known for having a temper. He was sent off for stomping on a Saudi Arabian opponent at the 1998 World Cup, while at Germany 2006 he was banned for France's group match against Togo.
Five years ago with Juventus, Zidane head-butted an opponent in a Champions League match against Hamburger SV after being tackled from behind.
Meanwhile, Rome Mayor Walter Veltroni accused FIFA of double standards, noting that soccer's governing body named Zidane as the tournament's best player after his head-butt, while Italy forward Francesco Totti was kicked out of the 2004 European Championship for spitting in an opponent's face.
"I notice a difference in the way in which Totti was treated after the spit and the way in which Zinedine Zidane has been lauded as a champion of soccer, even though he is held responsible for such a violent blow that it could even have had devastating effects," Veltroni said.
FIFA announced Tuesday it will open a disciplinary investigation into Zidane's conduct.
FIFA also said that the ballot box for the tournament's top player - voted by journalists - was open until after the final had ended, making it impossible to know how many ballots were cast before the match and during it.

C'est Nouveau, ça vient de sortir...

After searching and playing and changing, I think that I have finally found the template that I can live with. Proud Army wife, even though I have once again changed the look of my blog I will not re-title it "Muriel's ever changing blog"..... :-) I appreciate the input!
I want to thank Angie for providing the link on her blog for those wonderful template. I am very computer illiterate when it comes down to web sites templates and such. I am sure that I could sit down and figure out the language but I feel that I have better things to do with my time.
Eric's wrist is healing pretty good and he went back to work. He is working on a visit by the German army next week. We have been running into a lot of people we know. It is one of the best thing about the army. No matter where you go, if you have been in long enough you will meet people again. It is almost like being a part of a very big, very extended family.
A few blog I was reading mentioned the transition they might be facing soon as they leave the Army. I have to be honest with you, even though the military lifestyle is rough and tough, even though military housing makes you wonder what they do with your money, even though it takes 3 hours to see a doctor (with an appointment) and another 2 to get your prescription (Fort banning has the WORST pharmacy), I would not trade my life for anything. I married a soldier, by this I mean that he is a soldier at heart and would not know what else to do (well he does but is not ready for it yet....). I love hearing the bugle call in the morning, and in the evening and during the day (the joy of living on a training post) and I love to hear the guys doing PT in the morning. I hate being separated from my husband for any period of time but yet my heart swells with pride as he is serving his country. The army life is a life of contradiction but a wonderful life and I would not trade it for the world.

Beer shortage facts, up to 900,000 pints in one week end!!!!

BEER WE GO
Germans fear weii going to drink them dry
By Jeremy Armstrong
ENGLAND's massive army of World Cup fans is drinking Germany dry, it emerged yesterday.
Breweries warned beer could run out before the final because of huge demand from our supporters.
In Nuremberg, organisers revealed 70,000 England fans who flooded the city drank 1.2MILLION pints of beer - an average of 17 pints each.

Astonished bar keeper Herrmann Murr said: "Never have I seen so many drink so much in such little time."
His bar at a fans' tent in the city ran out after they drained all 32 of his 50-litre (11 gallon) barrels.
Herr Murr calculated Britons were shifting beer at a staggering rate of 200 pints per minute.
City official Peter Murrmann said: "The English proved themselves world champs. They practically drank us dry."
In Cologne, where England drew with Sweden, bottles and barrels of the local K?lsch beer ran out because so many English took them to campsites and parties.
Stuttgart bar chiefs said an extra 900,000 pints were sunk last weekend where 60,000 fans partied before and after our 1-0 win over Ecuador.
The Veltins brewery also revealed it has produced a record 418,000 gallons in a bid to keep up with demand.
A spokesman said: "It is incredible how much is being drunk but the hardest thing for the breweries is keeping up with the thirst of the English."
In Dortmund, where most fans for England's Gelsenkirchen clash against Portugal on Saturday are staying, the giant DAB brewery is bracing itself by ferrying in extra supplies to boost production.

Allez les Bleus!!!

I do have to brag! France will play against Italy at the world cup final. Now I know that the trend in this wonderful country is to boycott France (I still see bumper stickers on cars and have to bite my tongue on many occasions) but it will be a good game and I will watch it. I read somewhere that between the English and the German beer fanatic Germany was running out of beer. For those of us who have been there it seems impossible but true! So it is probably a good thing that neither Germany nor England is at the final! Where would they find the beer? Since it is France and Italy they are now concerned with wine.. :-) ...to each its own!
